CUMILLA, May 17, 2026 (BSS) - Administrator of Cumilla City Corporation Md. Yusuf Molla Tipu today said that the success of students’ makes the nation proud as they are the architects of a nation’s future.

“The talent, hard work and achievements of the students would help to lead the country forward in future,” he made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a reception for scholarship recipients at the local Shilpakala Academy here.

Cumilla district unit of the Bangladesh Kindergarten Association organized the reception, where 880 students from 37 educational institutions across the district were present.

He expressed hope that the students would continue to excel in schools, colleges and universities and bring honor for the country and their families.

Tipu further said that while teachers play an important role in a student’s success, parents make the greatest sacrifices for their children’s bright future. 

He emphasized that students should develop themselves not only through acquiring knowledge but also practicing morality, humanity and patriotism. 

Central Secretary General of the association Mizanur Rahman Sarkar, President of Sadar Upazila BNP Rezaul Kaiyum, President of Cumilla Modern High School governing body Nizam Uddin Kaiser, Education Affairs Secretary of the association Md. Abdul Alim and its general secretary of the district unit M T Zaman Nayeem were present at the function as special guests.

Presided over by the President of the association Cumilla district unit Md. Abdul Awal Khan, Officer-in-Charge of the Cumilla Center of Kabi Nazrul Institute Md. Al Amin, Convener of Cumilla South District JASAS Sirajul Islam Milon its general secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed Pallab, Head Teacher of YWCA Girls’ High School Koli Chowdhury and Head Teacher of Anondodhara Bidyapith Afroza Hasnat along with the teachers and guardians from various educational institutions were also present.

Central Secretary General of the kindergarten association Mizanur Rahman Sarkar announced a 37-member committee of Cumilla District unit. Md. Abdul Awal Khan was named as President, Afroza Hasnat as Senior Vice President, Ferdousi Akter, Md. Abul and Koli Chowdhury as Vice Presidents, M T Zaman Nayeem as General Secretary and S A M Al Mamun as Organizing Secretary.
