DHAKA, May 22, 2026 (BSS) – The 3-day national level programme marking the 127th birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam began today.

The events commenced from 5:30 PM at the National Theatre Hall auditorium.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan attended the opening event as the chief guest at the National Theatre Hall auditorium.

The State Minister of the Ministry of Culture Ali Newaz Mahmud Khaiyam was present as a special guest while distinguished journalist, poet and writer Hasan Hafiz attended it as the keynote speaker, and Nazrul researcher Dr. Engineer Khalequzzaman as a discussant.
