Chinese ambassador calls on Education Minister

DHAKA, June 8, 2026 (BSS) - Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen today paid a courtesy call on Education Minister Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Hoque Milon at the ministry office.

Prime Minister's Education Adviser Dr. Mahdi Amin was present during the meeting.

Welcoming the ambassador, the minister expressed gratitude to China for its continued cooperation with Bangladesh in education and other sectors.

"There remains significant scope for expanding bilateral cooperation in Chinese language education, teacher training, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), and several other areas," he said.

During the meeting, both sides expressed optimism that the longstanding relations and cooperation between Bangladesh and China would continue to grow in the coming years.

The Chinese delegation highly appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the Bangladesh government to advance education and other development sectors.

Cultural Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy Li Shaopeng was also present at the meeting.
