Japanese Delegation holds view-sharing with RU Pro-VCs

RAJSHAHI, June 20, 2026 (BSS)- A three-member delegation led by Yasuhiro Kawamoto, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Japan’s renowned Zen Mirai Japan Group, paid a courtesy call and held an exchange of views today with Professor Abdul Alim, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) and Professor Mamunur Rashid, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) of Rajshahi University (RU).

During the meeting held in the conference room of Administration Building-1, the delegation discussed introducing a Japanese language education program for RU students, expanding higher education opportunities in Japan for RU students through the program, and issues related to internships and employment.
 
They expressed interest in working jointly with RU on this matter.

The RU Pro-Vice-Chancellors welcomed this initiative by the Japan Group of Industries and instructed the relevant officials to take necessary measures.

They expressed hope that this initiative would open new horizons for RU students in education and employment in Japan.
 
The Japanese delegation also included Hideki Sakakibara, CEO of Sun-Sun Global Agency, and Yota Shigemori, Representative Director of General Incorporated Association Hummingbird.
 
Among others present were RU Registrar Professor Iftekharul Alam Masud; Professor Masud Akhtar, Director of the Institute of English and Other Languages; Professor Muhammad Sajjadur Rahim, Director of the Office of International Affairs, Student Advisor Professor AHM Khurshid Alam; Professor Nurul Momen, Director of the Career Counselling and Development Centre; and other concerned individuals.
