Digitalization of services empowers people, enhances transparency: Land Minister

DHAKA, June 28, 2026 (BSS) - Land Minister Md Mizanur Rahman Minu today said the digitalization of services empowers people and increases transparency in public service delivery.

He said, "Digitalization of services empowers people and enhances transparency in the government services. This also significantly reduces the dominance of middlemen." 

The minister made the remark today during a meeting with a delegation from Do Myoung Meta, a South Korean company.

The delegation paid a courtesy call on the minister at his office in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban where the two sides discussed the use of advanced technologies in land management.

During the meeting, the minister called for enhanced cooperation in the application of state-of-the-art technologies in land management, as well as in vocational training and research. 

He also briefed the delegation on Bangladesh's land management system and the government's various plans for its digitalisation. 

The delegation also expressed its interest to implement, manage and complete Digital Record Survey (DRS) activities related to land records and surveys efficiently and without errors.

The representatives of Do Myoung Meta also expressed their commitment to achieving the best possible results within a short timeframe through the proposed collaboration.
