Pakistan High Commissioner pays courtesy call on PM's Defence Adviser

DHAKA, June 28, 2026 (BSS) – Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider today paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister's Defence Adviser Brigadier General (retd) Dr AKM Shamsul Islam at the Armed Forces Division (AFD) in Dhaka Cantonment.

The High Commissioner led a three-member delegation during the meeting, according to a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) this afternoon.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed existing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan and exchanged views on a range of issues of mutual interest.

They particularly focused on enhancing military-to-military cooperation, sharing professional experiences and expanding training-related activities between the two countries, the ISPR said.

Both sides underscored the importance of strengthening defence cooperation and expressed optimism that the meeting would contribute to further consolidating and expanding the friendly relations and defence collaboration between Bangladesh and Pakistan, the release added.
