RAJSHAHI, July 9, 2026 (BSS) - The Rajshahi University (RU) team has become champion for three consecutive times in the Inter-University National Environment Debate Competition. 

The RU team won the 11th, 12th, and 13th editions of the debate held from 2024 to 2026. 

The Department of Environment organised the debate competition on the occasion of World Environment Day.
 
Vice-Chancellor Professor Md. Faridul Islam congratulated this year's champion RU team. He noted that their victory serves as a source of inspiration for others. 

The Vice-Chancellor expressed hope that in the future they will move toward greater achievements through their intellect and talent. 

He made this comment when the RU team members paid him a courtesy call. Student Advisor Professor A H M Khurshid Alam was present at the time. 

The RU team consisted of M M Ashraful Islam Sondhi (Law Department), Niloy Saha (Philosophy Department), and team leader Md. Mamunuzzaman Snigdho (Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Department).
