PM joins Janmashtami greetings programme with Hindu community

DHAKA, Sept 3, 2026 (BSS) – Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today joined a programme to exchange greetings with prominent members of the Hindu community on the occasion of Janmashtami and to distribute honorariums among priests and sebaits.

The Premier walked from his office at Bangladesh Secretariat to Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital to attend the Janmashtami programme as the chief guest at 10:00am today.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust jointly organised the programme, which is being attended by leading representatives of the Hindu community, religious leaders, eminent citizens, and priests and sebaits from different parts of the country.
