Hasina inciting people to create unrest: Jamaat Amir

NARAYANGANJ, Feb 07, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said Sheikh Hasina is hatching conspiracy to create unrest across the country by inciting people though she is on run.

“Hasina wants to create unrest by inciting people even after fleeing from the country. People won’t tolerate this,” he said.

Jamaat Amir was speaking as the chief guest in a public meeting organized by party the party’s Narayanganj city and district units at the Narayanganj Osmani Stadium at Fatullah here today.

He demanded of the Interim Government to bring back all the money siphoned off abroad by the Awami League leaders, and utilize those for country’s development.

Jamaat Amir said, discrimination should not be allowed in the society. In last fifteen and a half years, the Awami League has destroyed all the constitutional institutions, administration and judicial system.

Dr Shafique said all the rights of the people given in the constitution must be ensured and it is the responsibility of those people who is in power.

He said the people of Narayanganj suffered a lot for long as Shamim Osman made the city a ‘capital of terrorism’.

“Such arrogance is not good. Terrorism should never be tolerated. One must face the consequences of his work,” Jamaat leader pointed out.

He said AL strategically created division among people over the last 54 years. As long as this division will continue, the nation will suffer, he added. 

Narayanganj City Amir Muhammad Abdul Jabbar presided over the meeting while Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, Dhaka South Region Central Executive Council Member Saiful Alam Khan Milon, Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) Central President Zahidul Islam, Dhaka North City Amir Selim Uddin and Dhaka South City Amir Nurul Islam Bulbul spoke among others on the occasion.
