Smuggled cattle, goods seized in Sylhet, Sunamganj

SYLHET, Feb 8, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 
cattle and smuggled goods worth about Taka 1.50 crore from Sylhet and 
Sunamganj district border areas on Saturday morning.

Confirming the matter, BGB 48 Sylhet Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel 
Md Hafizur Rahman said the BGB team conducted raid in different areas of 
Sylhet and Sunamganj border including Protappur, Panthumai, Sunarhaat, 
Bisanakandi, Shreepur, Dibirhaor, Kalasadek, Pathorkoari and Sunalichela BOP 
and seized the goods.

The seized goods included different types of Indian skincare products, 
orange, sugar etc.

The estimated value of the seized goods is about Taka 1.50 crore, he added.

BGB said that legal action would be taken in this regard.
