Two held with firearm, bullets in capital

DHAKA, Feb 8, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested two individuals with foreign-
made pistol and two rounds of live bullets in the capital's Kafrul area.

The arrested were Mohammad Rasedul Alam Zumma, 45, and Md Ashraf Ali, 49, 
said a media release of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) here today.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Kafrul Police Station conducted a raid on 
Ibrahimpur Ananda road on Friday afternoon as they came to know that two 
individuals were staying there to commit criminal activities.

Sensing the presence of police, they tried to flee the scene but the law 
enforcers able to round up the duo with the firearms.

Police said the recovered 9mm pistol is a Brazil-made firearm. They also 
seized an iPhone from their possession.

A case was filed with Kafrul Police Station in this connection.
