2-day 'Hill Harmony Festival' begins in Bandarban

BANDARBAN, Feb 9, 2025 (BSS) - A two-day 'Hill Harmony Festival (Parbotto Sampriti Utsab)' has begun here today.

Ethnic Minority Cell of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) has organized the festival at Mro Residential High School ground at Lamar para of Sadar upazila. 

Artists from the Marma, Chakma, Mro, Tripura, Lusai, Khumi, Bam, Kheyang, Chak, Pankhoya, Tanchanga, Monipuri, Santal, Malpahariya, Bangali, Orao, Mahali and Garo communities from the hill districts of Bandarban, Sylhet, Mymensingh and Rajshahi divisions have joined the event.

BSA Director General Dr Syed Jamil Ahmed inaugurated the festival this afternoon.

Bandarban Army Region Commander Brigadier General S M Rakib Ibne Rezwan, Bandarban Deputy Commissioner Shamim Ara Rini, Bandarban Superintendent of Police Shahidullah Kawsar and Mro Residential High School Headmaster Md Mohin Uddin attended the event as the special guests.

The event will continue till 8 pm tomorrow.
