Moyeen Khan seeks poll within reasonable time

DHAKA, Feb 10, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) standing 
committee member Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan has reiterated his party's demand for 
holding the national polls within a reasonable time.

He made the call while addressing a roundtable meeting titled "Six months of 
the July-August mass uprising, where are the students and the public now?" at 
the Democracy Auditorium in Momenbagh in the capital today.

The Millennium University organised the roundtable meeting.

Moin Khan said a massive number of people in the country have given their 
lives for democracy.
 
"The new sun has risen in the last July movement. We cannot let that sun set. 
For this, we will have to struggle anew if necessary," he said.

Jonayed Saki, chief coordinator of the Ganosanhati Andolan, General Secretary 
of the Biplobi Workers Party Saiful Haque, leader of the Gono Forum Advocate 
Subrata Chowdhury, General Secretary of the Gono Odhikar Parishad Rashed Khan 
and journalist Akbar Hossain Majumder also spoke on the occasion.

The roundtable meeting was moderated by Advocate Rokhsana Khandaker, 
chairperson of the Board of Trustees of The Millennium University while
Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the university Dr. Abhinay Chandra Saha delivered his 
welcome speech at the event.

The meeting was also addressed, among others, by PRAN RFL Chairman and CEO 
Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, journalist Manjarul Alam Panna, General Secretary of 
the private university branch of Chhatra Dal M Rajibul Islam Talukder Bindu.
