Former MP Majid Khan sent to jail

HABIGANJ, Feb 11, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today sent former Member of
Parliament (MP) of Habiganj-2 constituency Abdul Majid Khan to jail after
showing him arrested in a case for killing nine people during the anti-
discrimination student movement.

Police produced him before the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court Judge
Mohammad Abdul Alim at 10 am and the court ordered him to be sent to jail,
said Habiganj Court Police Inspector Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nazmul Islam.

The detective branch (DB) of police arrested Majid Khan from the capital's Uttara
area around 9.15 pm last Monday and handed him over to Habiganj police that
night.

Different cases were pending against Majid Khan, including the case filed for
killing nine people in Baniyachang during the anti-discrimination student
movement.
