CHATTOGRAM, Feb 11, 2025 (BSS) - Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) 
arrested 30 leaders and activists of the Awami League, Jubo League and 
Chhatra League from various police stations under its jurisdiction for 
attacking protesters during the student-led mass uprising in July and August 
last year.

A team of the CMP conducted the drives in the last 24 hours ending at 12 pm 
today and arrested them.

The detained leaders and activists of the ousted ruling Awami League and its 
affiliated bodies have been implicated in several cases under the Anti-
Terrorism Act for attacks and other criminal activities during the student-
led mass uprising.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media and PR) of the CMP said most of the 
arrestees are accused in several cases.
