Nagorik Oikya for ensuring unity to make July uprising success

DHAKA, Feb 11, 2025 (BSS) –Nagorik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna today urged all to remain united in national interest to make the   July-Uprising a success.    

"If everyone is not united in the national interest, it will not be possible to reap the benefits of the student-people revolution," he said.

The Nagorik Oikya leader made the call at a token   hunger strike organized by the families of the 2024 mass uprising martyrs and injured in front of the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) demanding proper treatment and state rehabilitation for them as   chief guest.

Mahmudur Rahman broke around three-hour long strike of the injured by offering drinking water.

Manna paid rich tributes to the martyrs of the August Revolution and demanded that the interim government should take more immediate steps for ensuring proper treatment of the injured and their rehabilitation.

Hunger Strike Organizing Committee Rezaul Kabir Reza presided over the event while BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council Member Abdus Salam, Executive Committee Member Abu Naser Muhammad Rahmatullah, Dhaka City South unit of BNP advocate Arifa Sultana Ruma and leader of Muktijoddha Dal,  Miah Md Anwar also spoke on the occasion.
