Salman F Rahman, Kamal Majumder, 3 others shown arrested in fresh cases

DHAKA, Feb 12, 2025 (BSS) - Two separate courts here today showed five people 
including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina's former private industry 
affairs adviser Salman F Rahman and former state minister for industries 
Kamal Ahmed Majumder in four cases filed over murders committed during the 
student-led July-August mass uprising.
 
The three other arrestees are- former Inspector General of Police (IGP) 
Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun, former Barguna-1 lawmaker Dhirendra Debnath 
Shambhu and Diamond World Managing Director Dilip Kumar Agarwala.
 
Of the five, Salman F Rahman and Mamun were shown arrested in the Shahabul 
Islam Shawon killing case and Shambhu was shown arrested, in the Riajul 
killing case, both filed with the Ashulia Police Stations, by Dhaka Senior 
Judicial Magistrate Tajul Islam.
 
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MA Azharul Islam showed Kamal arrested in a 
murder case filed with the Pallabi Police Station, Agarwala in another murder 
case filed with the Gulshan Police Station.
