Ex-home minister's son Jyoti on 7-day remand in murder attempt case

DHAKA, Feb 12, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today placed Shafi Muddaser Khan 
Jyoti, son of former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, on a seven-day 
remand in an attempt to murder case filed with the city's Dhanmondi Police 
Station.
 
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MA Azharul Islam passed the order as police 
produced Jyoti before the court and pleaded to place him on a seven-day 
remand in the case.
 
Jyoti was arrested from the city's Uttara area on September 14, 2024.
