SHARIATPUR, Feb 12, 2025(BSS) - All 15 candidates from the pro-BNP panel in Shariatpur Bar Association were elected unopposed today as no other panel or any other candidates submit their nomination papers.

Chief Election Commissioner Advocate Sirajul Haque after the deadline of submission of nomination paper declared all 15 candidates from the pro-BNP panel elected unopposed.

According to the results-Advocate Jahangir Alam Kashem and Advocate Kamrul Hasan were elected President and General Secretary respectively of the Shariatpur Bar Association.

Advocate Jamal Ahmed Sabuj and Dr Aminul Islam were elected Senior Vice-President and Vice-President of the bar while Advocate Selim Ahmed and Advocate Enamul Huque were elected Joint General Secretary and Assistant General Secretary.

The other elected office bearers Advocate Md Ruhul Amin, Finance Secretary, Advocate H M Lokman Hossain, Cultural Secretary, Advocate Md Zakir Hossain, Library Secretary and Advocate Zafar Iqbal Masud, Audit Affairs Secretary. Besides, advocate Sakhawat Hossain Molla, Advocate Mahbubur Rahman Khan Swapon, Advocate Zakir Hossain Talukdar, Advocate Joynal Abedin and Advocate Munira Akhter were elected as executive members of the bar.

According to the election commission sources today was the last date for submission of nomination papers and February 22 was the date for holding the election of the bar association.
