JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Mar 19, 2025 (BSS) – A group of Jahangirnagar University students held the ‘March for Palestine’ programme, protesting Israeli aggression in Gaza.

Over two hundred protesters brought out a procession from the university’s Bot Tola area around 10:15 pm and concluded it at the central Shaheed Minar following a brief rally.

During the protest march, the protesters chanted different slogans, including ‘One, Two, Three, Four, Zionism is no more.’

"Israel continues its aggression in Gaza by violating the ceasefire. The Muslim world must unite to stop these atrocities, or else they will pay a higher price,” said Arifuzzaman Uzzal, a postgraduate student in the Marketing department, condemning the Israeli atrocities in Palestine while addressing the rally.

Abdur Rashid Jitu, a postgraduate student in the Institute of Comparative Literature and Culture, said, “Our hearts are filled with profound grief when we see innocent children becoming targets of bombardment. While we plan what to eat during Sehri, Palestinian children thinks whether they will survive or not. We will continue our protest if the aggression against Palestine continues. If needed, we shall fight for Palestine.”

Speakers at the rally urged the international community to stop Israeli atrocities in Palestine and maintain the ceasefire peacefully.
