SAU unit of UTAB arranges Iftar, Doa Mahfil seeking early recovery of Khaleda Zia

DHAKA, March 22, 2025 (BSS) – Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) unit of University Teachers Association of Bangladesh (UTAB) has organized Doa and Iftar Mahfil seeking early recovery of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

UTAB President Prof Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam addressed the programme as the chief guest while Member of University Grants Commission (UGC) Prof Dr. Masuma Habib, UTAB General Secretary Prof Dr. Morshed Hasan Khan and Organizing Secretary and National University Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Md. Nurul Islam addressed as special guests.

Chaired by UTAB SAU President and the university’s Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Abdul Latif, it was moderated by UTAB SAU unit General Secretary Prof Dr. Md. Jamshed Alam Khan.

Dr. Obaidul Islam congratulated the newly elected UTAB team and said, “The current situation in the country indicates that we are still not in a good position. The recent movement and tensions across the country regarding the military make it a cause for concern. We must remain cautious and prepared so that the atrocities we endured over the past 17 years do not return.”
