2 Jubo Mohila League leaders remanded in ATA case

DHAKA, April 7, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today placed Bangladesh Jubo Mohila 
League legal affairs secretary Pervin Chand Mishu, 38, and its office 
secretary Sabrina Eti, 32, on three-day remand each in a case lodged under 
Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) with the city's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MA Azharul Islam passed the order as police 
produced the duo before the court and pleaded to place them on a five-day 
remand each in the case.

Mishu and Eti were arrested by police in the afternoon of April 6.

Around 14-15 people including leaders and activists of banned Bangladesh 
Chhatra League (BCL) and Jubo Mohila League brought out a procession at 
around 7 am on April 4, 2024 in front of Planning Commission in the city's 
Agargaon. 

They, however, fled the scene minutes later, sensing the presence of police.

The case was filed with the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station on that day.
