Tarique Rahman inquires about Brahmanbaria's child victim of physical abuse

DHAKA, April 18, 2025 (BSS) - BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has inquired
about the treatment of a child victim of physical abuse in Bancharampur
upazila of Brahmabaria.

At the directive of Tarique Rahman, BNP Health Affairs Secretary and
Coordinator of Healthcare Support Cell Dr Md Rafiqul Islam visited the child
at Dhaka Medical College Hospital and inquired about her treatment and
provided financial assistance.

He spoke to the child's family and assured them of being by their side in any
need, including medical and legal assistance.

Islam also spoke to doctors providing the child's treatment and requested all
concerned to ensure her the best possible treatment.

Health support team members are Dr Nazrul Islam, Professor Foara Tasmeem
Pami, Dr Md Jamshed Ali, Dr Saiful Alam Badsha and Dr Kazi Abu Talha.

The five and half years old child was tortured near her house in Bancharampur
on April 15.
