DHAKA, May 13, 2025 (BSS) – A court here today imposed a travel ban on Md Rashedul Kawser Bhuiyan, assistant private secretary (APS) to former law minister Anisul Huq, and his wife Lutfun Nahar over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The anti-graft body in its plea said it is probing allegations against Rashedul for his alleged involvement in amassing huge illegal wealth through drug peddling, cattle smuggling and tender manipulation.

The accused along with his family members may flee the country to evade justice and that is why a travel ban should be imposed on them, the plea added.
