KHULNA, Dec 8, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 have arrested a listed criminal from Khulna and one of the prime accused in the murder of Sabbir. 

The criminal identified as Palash, 26, widely known as 'Chingri Palash', son of Sultan Hossain of Goborchaka under Sonadanga Thana of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP).

He was detained from Jashore on Saturday night, RAB said.

According to a RAB-6 press release issued today, the elite force launched an operation after receiving information that Palash had been hiding in the Sadeq Darogar Mor area under Kotwali Model Police Station in Jashore.

Acting on the intelligence, a team of RAB-6, CPC-3, carried out a raid in the area and arrested him.

Palash is accused in several cases, including murder, explosives, narcotics and extortion.

RAB said the arrested accused has been handed over to Rupsha Police Station in Khulna for further legal action.
