DHAKA, Dec 08, 2025 (BSS) – The government has appointed Additional Commissioner (Promoted to Deputy Inspector General of Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Mohammad Zahidul Hasan as commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP).

“The order issued for public interest will come into effect immediately,” according to the home ministry notification issued here today.

The home affairs ministry issued the notification in this regard signed by deputy secretary Md Mahbubur Rahman.
It said Hasan, DIG, will replace Md Zulfikar Ali Haider, commissioner of KMP. In the same notification, the government transferred Md Zulfikar Ali Haider, commissioner of KMP to Industrial Police, as DIG.
