LALMONIRHAT, Dec 8, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Organizing Secretary Asadul Habib Dulu today said no fair elections were held in any constituency or polling centre in the country over the past 17 years.

He made the remark while speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural  ceremony of a temporary bridge built at Jharirjhar Number - 2 Ghat in Ward 6 of Bhelabari Union, organized by Lalmonirhat district unit of Jubo Dal this afternoon.

Dulu said BNP has carried out continuous movements to restore voting rights of the people. During this time, many leaders and activists have been injured, disabled, went missing, and countless others have been imprisoned, he added.

He said BNP has played the most significant role in establishing the people's right to vote. He hoped the people will spontaneously cast their votes in favour of BNP candidates.

Seeking votes from local people to ensure the victory of the BNP candidates, he said, “If you elect the BNP candidates, you will see a new, transformed Lalmonirhat in the coming days, InshaAllah.”

District Jubo Dal convener Anisur Rahman chaired the event while District Jubo Dal member-secretary Hasan Ali, Kaliganj Upazila BNP convener Jahangir Alam, district BNP vice-president Rokon Uddin Babul, were present, among others.
