
DHAKA, Dec 08, 2025 (BSS) - The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 today set February 9 for submitting the probe report in a case lodged against 45 accused, including Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader and former law minister Anisul Huq, over crimes against humanity allegedly committed during the July Mass Uprising.
A three-member tribunal bench, headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mazumder, passed the order allowing a time petition filed by the prosecution.
Sixteen of the 17 arrested accused were produced before the tribunal during today's proceedings. They are: Anisul Huq, Amir Hossain Amu, Shahjahan Khan, Qamrul Islam, Abdur Razzaque, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haque Inu, Kamal Ahmed Majumder, Golam Dastagir Gazi, Dipu Moni, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Salman F Rahman, Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, AHM Shamsuddin Choudhury Manik, Jahangir Alam and Solaiman Salim.
Lt Col (retd) Mohammad Faruk Khan was not produced as he is currently undergoing treatment in prison custody.
On October 17, 2024, the tribunal issued arrest warrants for all 45 accused for their alleged complicity in crimes against humanity during the July Mass Uprising.
According to the ICT prosecution, investigators have already found evidence supporting the allegations brought against the accused.
