BNNRC CEO appointed global ambassador for responsible AI in Bangladesh

DHAKA, May 17, 2025 (BSS) - The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) AHM Bazlur Rahman has been appointed as a Global Ambassador for Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Bangladesh. 

Chief Responsible AI Officer and Founder of the Global Council for Responsible AI Carmen Marsh made the announcement of the appointment recently, said a BNNRC press release here today.

After the announcement, Marsh said as an ambassador for Responsible AI in Bangladesh, Rahman's leadership and commitment to advancing ethical, transparent, and accountable artificial intelligence (AI) are invaluable as he is building a global movement in this regard.

As a global ambassador, he said, Rahman will play a vital role in representing Bangladesh, promoting local engagement, and contributing to international initiatives focused on the responsible advancement of artificial intelligence (AI).

"In a time when artificial intelligence is significantly influencing numerous facets of our lives, it is paramount that we guide this powerful technology to benefit humanity as effectively as possible," Marsh said. 

According to the release, the Global Council for Responsible AI (GCRAI) is equally dedicated to responsible and inclusive innovations. It aims at setting a global standard that respects human values and enhances capabilities. These initiatives position the Council at the forefront of ethical AI, influencing practices today and paving the way for future secure, moral, and beneficial innovations.
