ZRF pays tribute to Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman

DHAKA, May 31, 2025 (BSS) – Leaders and activists of Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) today paid glowing tribute to Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman marking his 44th martyrdom anniversary.

In observance of the day, they placed floral wreaths at the grave of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman in the city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area and offered ‘Munajat’ there. 

Prof. Dr. Chobirul Islam Hawlader conducted the ‘Munajat’ when Mass Education Affairs Secretary of BNP and Acting Executive Director of the Foundation Prof. Dr. Morshed Hasan Khan were present.

ZRF’s Convener of Martyrdom Anniversary Observance Committee Prof. Md. Lutfur Rahman, Member Secretary Eng. Mahbub Alam, Dr. A.S. Haider Parvez, Prof. Dr. Abdul Karim, Eng. Zahirul Islam, Prof. Ataur Rahman, Prof. Anisur Rahman, Prof. Golam Rabbani, Saeed Khan, Dr. Tanzim Rubaiyat Afif and Dr. Anarul, among others, joined the program.

Speaking briefly after the prayer, Prof. Dr. Morshed Hasan Khan said, “Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman is our inspiration. On his 44th martyrdom anniversary, we have paid our respects and offered special prayers at his mausoleum”. 

"On this day, we renew our pledge to build a future Bangladesh free of inequality, where democracy and the people’s right to vote will be restored,” he added.
