DHAKA, July 7, 2025 (BSS) - A Dhaka court today imposed a travel ban on Mohammad Hazrat Ali, a retired chief engineer of the Power Development Board (PDB), over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

According to the ACC plea, the anti-graft body is currently probing allegations of huge corruption and irregularities against Hazrat Ali and has learned that the accused is trying to flee the country.

"For the sake of proper investigation, travel embargo should be imposed on him to deter him for leaving the country," the ACC plea stated.
