DHAKA, July 7, 2025 (BSS) – A court here today ordered to freeze four bank accounts of former Director General (DG) of the Directorate General of Forces Intelligence (DGFI) Major General (Retd) Hamidul Haque.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, allowing a petition, filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The anti-graft body in its plea said Hamidul and people related to his interests are trying to withdraw and transfer money from the accounts, and that can thwart the investigation that is ongoing against him.

“So, the accounts should be frozen immediately,” the ACC petition added.

The same court on April 21, 2025, had imposed a travel ban on Major General (Retd) Hamidul Haque and his wife Nusrat Jahan Mukta over graft allegations.
