Army provides free treatments to 1,500 patients in Tangail

TANGAIL, July 12, 2025 (BSS) - As part of its ongoing humanitarian initiative, the Bangladesh Army organised a free medical camp today in Kalihati upazila of the district, offering vital healthcare services to local residents.

This medical camp provided free treatment and necessary medicines to 1,500 local patients held on the premises of Tangail Textile Engineering College this morning.

Commander of 98th Composite Brigade Brigadier General (BA-5691) Md. Mahmudur Rahman was present during the time. 

He said Bangladesh Army will always be by the side of the people and such 
programmes will be continued in different districts across the country.

The program was organised under the overall supervision of the 19 Infantry 
Division.

Ten specialist doctors from the Departments of Medicines and Ophthalmology 
provided treatments at the camp.
