DHAKA, July 12, 2025 (BSS) - BNP’s Media Cell Convener, Professor Dr. Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel, has said that July is an epoch-making document in the country’s history and also a ‘symbol of unity’ after the country’s Liberation War.

“The participation of students and the mass people in the July uprising was unprecedented. This victory belongs to all forces against Hasina. July is our pride of youth, the flame of fire of uprising. Therefore, the spirit of July must not be allowed to go in vain,” he said.

Moudud made the remarks today while speaking at a shadow parliament session as the chief guest organized by Debate for Democracy at BFDC in the capital’s Tejgaon area on raising civic awareness to realize the spirit of the July uprising.

The session was presided over by Debate for Democracy Chairman Hasan Ahmed Chowdhury Kiron.

The Chairman of Debate for Democracy said although the fallen Awami League government had filed false and conspiratorial cases against BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, but those cases have now been resolved through the courts.

“The nation now wants to see her participation in the upcoming national election,” he said.

In the shadow parliament titled “The role of raising civic awareness is the key to realizing the spirit of the July uprising,” the debaters from Atish Dipankar University of Science & Technology became victorious defeating the debaters from Kabi Nazrul Government College.

After the competition, trophies, crests, and certificates were presented to the participating teams.
