Charge-sheet against top terror Subrata Bain, 3 others in arms case filed

DHAKA, July 13, 2025 (BSS) - Detective branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan 
Police (DMP) today filed a charge sheet in an arms case against top terror 
and 'seven star' syndicate kingpin Subrata Bain, his close associate Molla 
Masud and two others.

The other two accused are-- underworld shooters Md Arafat Ibn Masud, 43, and 
MAS Sharif, 25.

Investigation officer and DB Inspector Aminul Islam filed the charge-sheet at 
the court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Wahiduzzaman. The 
court after that forwarded the matter to Dhaka metropolitan magistrate court.

Bangladesh Army, in a special operation on May 27, arrested four criminals 
including Subrata Bain and Molla Masud and seized five foreign-made pistols 
and ammunition. 

Subrata Bain alias Fateh Ali and his associate Molla Masud alias Abu Russell 
Masud were arrested from Kushtia district on specific intelligence 
information. 

Following information extracted from the arrestees, the army personnel later 
arrested shooters Arafat and Sharif from the capital's Hatirjheel area. 

During the operations, the army team seized five foreign-made pistols, 10 
magazines, 53 rounds of ammunition and one satellite phone from their 
possession. 

Later, police filed the case with Hatirjheel Police Station on May 28 last.
