DHAKA, July 13, 2025 (BSS) - The nationalist Dhaka University (DU) teachers' organization, Sada Dal (White Panel) has demanded  trial of the fascist Sheikh Hasina, who ordered the use of deadly weapons in  July Uprising  and the teachers who supported the dictatorship by going to Ganabhaban.

The organization today made this demand at a human chain organized at the foot of the university's Aparajeyo Bangla.

During the event, teachers of the panel called upon all to remain united in the interest of the country and also urged the authorities concerned to quickly remove the Professors Emeritus who supported the genocide and were accused of corruption.

DU white panel Convener Professor Dr Morshed Hasan Khan said that they have demanded trial against killer Hasina and those who encouraged her, especially some teachers of Dhaka University who gave a blank cheque to the then government to open fire.

Dean of the Faculty of Arts Professor Dr Siddiqur Rahman Khan strongly urged the government to prevent Hasina’s allies from creating an unstable situation in the country.

“Sheikh Hasina is trying to destabilize the country by inciting ordinary leaders and activists through various audio-video messages from neighbouring India,” he added.
He further said, during this movement, a group of teachers who identified themselves as intellectuals incited Hasina to commit genocide.

“They did not only support the shooting at students at Ganabhaban on August 3, but also encouraged it. We all know who they are. But so far the authorities have not yet taken any action against them. We demand maximum punishment for them as soon as possible," he added.
