BCG provides free treatments to 486 patients in Bhola

BHOLA, July 13, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) South Zone today 
organised a free medical camp on the premises of Bheduria Union Parishad (UP) 
in Sadar upazila here.

Free medical treatment and necessary medicines were provided to 486 local 
patients at this medical camp.

Besides, public awareness speeches were given on prevention of smallpox, 
illegal fishing, prevention of drug and human trafficking, use of illegal 
nets, protection of forest resources, safety of life and property on ships 
and waterways. 

Local public representatives and the general public were present in the 
public awareness meeting. 

Coast Guard Headquarters Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Harun-or-Rashid 
informed this in the afternoon.

He said Bangladesh Coast Guard has come forward to meet the various needs of 
the underprivileged people of coastal and riverine areas. 

The BCG has been providing free medical services to the needy and low-income 
people through medical campaigns at different times, the BCG official said.

He further said such public service activities will continue by Bangladesh 
Coast Guard in the future as well.
