Water level in 42 rivers rises, 84 falls: FFWC

DHAKA, July 13, 2025 (BSS) - Water levels at 42 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise while 84 stations recorded fall.

Among the 119 monitored river stations, water levels at one station has remained steady while no stations are flowing above the danger level, a bulletin issued by the FFWC said here today.

 Water levels of the Ganges-Padma rivers are rising and may continue to rise for the next 5 days, the bulletin added. However, they are expected to flow below the danger level.

 Water levels of the Surma and Kushiyara rivers are decreasing and flowing below the danger level. Over the next 24 hours, water levels of these rivers may continue to decrease and may rise during the following 2 days.

The water level of the Mahananda River is rising, while the Atrai River is stable while water levels of these rivers may continue to rise over the next 3 days. 

 Water levels of the Gomti, Muhuri, Feni, Halda, Matamuhuri, and Sangu rivers in the Chattogram division are decreasing and flowing below the danger level.

 Water levels of these rivers may remain stable over the next 3 days. 

Water levels of the Brahmaputra and Jamuna rivers are decreasing and this trend may continue for the next 5 days, with flows remaining below the danger level.
