JHALAKATHI, July 13, 2025 (BSS)- National Citizen Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam today said a new culture of fear is being created in Bangladesh.

“A new culture of fear is being created in Bangladesh by making a partisan administration,” he said at a roadside rally here today.

Nahid said, “There will be no benefit from such conspiracies. The students and people of Bangladesh have given their blood and are ready to take to the streets again if necessary.”

“We do not want to float a party of extortionists, corrupts and mafias,” Nahid said adding “We want to build our party in such a way that our party speaks for the people.”

“We want to create such a political party, which will be the party of the masses, those who will listen to the problems of the people, stand by the people and ensure the dignity of the people,” he said.

Calling for unity on basic principles of the country, Nahid said, “We do not want any division within the country. There will have differences, there will have competition, but everyone will unite for the sake of the country which we expect.”

The NCP leader said, “Only Awami League’s ouster is not enough. Their ways of extortion, corruption and mafia nature must be changed from society. That is why we have come out on the streets,” he said.

NCP Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, Senior Joint Convener Samantha Sharmin and Joint Chief Coordinator Arifur Rahman Tuhin were also present at the time.
