DHAKA, July 14, 2025 (BSS) - Police on Sunday in a special operation in Mohammadpur Thana area, arrested 35 individuals for their alleged involvement in various crimes such as extortion, drug trafficking and mugging.  
 
The arrested have been identified as Palash (28), Hridoy Ali Raj (25), Nadim (30), Shahadat (23), Tashir (25), Sujan alias Budu (19) , Rakib Molla (25), Tarikh Islam (28), Emon (22), Al Amin (46), Ilyas (29), Arafat (20), Sajjad (34), Milon (28), Abdul Alim (28), Shuvo (19), Shahin (20), Ashik alias Ripon (20), Imtiaz Molla Emu (28), Rakib (20), Farid (30), Nazim (31) Rayham (22), Shahin (18), Rashed (18), Rakib (21), Mojahid (21), Kashem (19), Rayhan (30) , Emon (18), Rabi Awal (18) , Khairul (29), Isarafil (20) , Sajib (30) and Rakib (18).

Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed their arrest.  

Mohammadpur Thana Police arrested them by conducting operations at different parts of the Mohammadpur area on Sunday. Fifteen pieces of Yaba and ganja were seized from their possessions. 

The arrestees have been sent to the court.
