Elaborate programmes taken in Khulna to mark National Fisheries Week 2025

KHULNA, July 14, 2025 (BSS) - With the theme "Create Sanctuaries, Fill the Country with Native Fish," a week-long programme has been undertaken to observe National Fisheries Week-2025 in Khulna.

The programme was adopted at a preparatory meeting of the district committee for the implementation of National Fisheries Week 2025, held this afternoon in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner of Khulna.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Bithan Kumar Mondal presided over the meeting, while Khulna District Fisheries Officer Md. Badruzzaman, along with officials from various departments, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, officials announced that National Fisheries Week will be observed across the country from July 22 to July 28, with various activities planned in Khulna district to mark the occasion.
