FBCCI holds doa, milad mahfil marking July Martyrs' Day

DHAKA, July 16, 2025 (BSS) - The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) today held a doa and milad mahfil marking July Martyrs Day, commemorating the sacrifices of the July martyrs and praying for the eternal peace of their departed souls.

The doa and milad mahfil was held at the FBCCI office in the capital's Motijheel area where FBCCI officials, staff, and other attendees participated, said a press release.

FBCCI Administrator Md. Hafizur Rahman was present on the occasion. Remembering the martyrs of the July mass uprising, Hafizur said, "The students, ordinary people, and the general masses sacrificed their lives to build a society and state free from discrimination. If each of us fulfills our responsibilities to the nation and state from our respective positions, then their sacrifices will be meaningful." 

The FBCCI Administrator also prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls of the martyrs and thus hoped that those who were injured in the uprising would recover fully through proper medical care.

FBCCI Secretary General Md. Alamgir also spoke on the occasion.
