DHAKA, July 31, 2025 (BSS) - Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party) organized a reception this morning to honor the injured heroes of the July 2024 uprising.

AB Party Chairman Mujibur Rahman Manju attended the event at the party office at Bijoynagar in the city as chief guest, while Joint General Secretary Anwar Sadat Tutul delivered the welcome address.

Chaired by the party's Senior Vice Chairman Professor Dr Abdul Wahab Minar, the function was moderated by Dhaka Metropolitan North Convener Altaf Hossain.

In his speech, party chairman Manju emphasized the importance of maintaining unity among the democratic forces, despite ideological or strategic differences.

"There is no scope for the pro-July forces to fall into suicidal conflicts due to divisions," he said.

"Differences in opinion and approach are natural. Criticisms must be embraced and unity maintained. If fascism ever returns, it will not spare anyone, including those aligned with July's spirit."

Through the event reception was accorded to several activists injured during the July uprising, including Atiqur Rahman, Rahmat Ullah, Professor Humayun Kabir, Shakhawat Hossain, Aqib Hasan Niloy, Ashraful Islam, Rabiul Islam, Hedayet Ullah, Roman Mia, Sifayet Hossain Asif, Hafez Mohammad Hossain Ahmed, Mohammad Amin, Nabil, Mustafiz Billah Habibi, Habibur Rahman, Fayez Akash, Nurul Huda, Iqbal Hossain and Rashedul Islam.
