SYLHET, July 31, 2025 (BSS) - A worker was killed and another received serious injuries as a boarding bridge wheel burst at Sylhet Osmani International Airport here today.
Osmani International Airport Director Hafiz Ahmed said the deceased was identified as Ruman Ahmed (22) and the injured person was named as Enamul (25).
“The accident occurred around 1:30 pm today when they were doing the repair work,” he added.
He said the boarding bridge wheel was being changed as part of regular maintenance. A wheel suddenly exploded when workers of the contracting company were removing the wheel.
