DHAKA, July 31, 2025 (BSS) – The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested Wasiur Rahman, Managing Director of Atum Loop Apparels—an associate corporate entity of the Beximco Group—on charges of smuggling nearly Taka 34 crore under the guise of internal business transactions.

The CID’s Financial Crime Unit, aided by information technology, arrested him from the DIT Project area in the capital’s Badda.

A case has been filed with Motijheel Police Station under the Money Laundering Prevention Act.

The CID Financial Crime Unit is currently investigating the case.
