KHULNA, Aug 23, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested a Jubo Mohila League leader from the city's New Market area on Friday evening.

The arrested was identified as Chisty Mostari Banu, joint convener of Jubo Mohila League of Khulna city unit, an associate organization of Awami League.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the Detective Branch (DB) Police of KMP conducted an operation around 7.30 pm yesterday at KDA New Market area and arrested her, Tayemur Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of DB of KMP confirmed today.

She was arrested in an anarchy case on March 18 in 2025, filed with Khulna police station, OC said, and added that she was interrogated at DB office in KMP headquarters in the city.
