Jamaat secretary mourns death of Alamgir Mohiuddin

DHAKA, Aug 23, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Alamgir Mohiuddin, a renowned journalist and former editor of Dainik Naya Diganta.

In a condolence message today, he said, Alamgir Mohiuddin was an undisputed senior journalist. His contribution to objective journalism is undeniable. 

“He has struggled throughout his life to establish democracy, freedom of speech and human rights. With his demise, the nation has lost a renowned journalist,” said Parwar.

He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep condolence to the bereaved family.
