RANGPUR, Aug 23, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Executive Council
Member ATM Azharul Islam has said Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) is working to
establish a corruption-free and discrimination-free society by developing its
talented students into patriots and honest citizens.

"The humans are the best blessing of Allah's creation. This talented blessing
should be used for the welfare of the society and the state to build the
country," he said.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the felicitation ceremony
for the meritorious GPA-5 students in the 2025 SSC, Dakhil and equivalent
examinations held at the Badarganj Upazila Parishad Auditorium in Rangpur on
Saturday.

Badarganj Upazila ICS organised the event to accord warm receptions to more
than two hundred meritorious students who obtained GPA-5 and distribute gifts
among them at the ceremony.

ATM Azaharul Islam, also a former Acting Secretary General of Bangladesh
Jamaat-e-Islami, said that people of all religions have equal rights in
Bangladesh.

"Today, ICS is rightly welcoming talented students from both Muslim and non-
Muslim faiths. This is an example of that," he said.

He said that various types of drug factories have been set up along the
border inside India to destroy the character of Bangladeshi youth. The
talented students of this soil have achieved success by facing these
challenges.

"Only the talented students can take the country and society forward. For
this, the talented students should work honestly and sincerely with good
character and patriotism to build a society free from terrorism and
extortion," he said.

He said that no one can be honest without religious devotion. Therefore,
every parent should educate their children in religious education along with
modern education.

"The spoiled talented people send their parents to old age homes, while pious
talented people do well for society along with their parents. Islami Chhatra
Shibir and Islamic Girls' Association teach this good character to students,"
he said.

"To build a modern, happy and prosperous society, children should be taught
to build their lives in Islamic education along with modern education," ATM
Azaharul Islam said.

Badarganj Upazila Islami Chhatra Shibir President Mojahidul Islam Sabuj
presided over the function.

Badarganj Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Moulana Kamruzzaman Kabir, Upazila
