Jamaat-e-Islami delegation meets Pakistan Foreign Minister in city

DHAKA, Aug 23, 2025 (BSS) - A five-member delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami met visiting Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar this afternoon at the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka.

The meeting was held in a cordial and sincere atmosphere, according to party sources. 

Pakistan's High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Imran Haider, along with senior officials of the High Commission, was present during the discussion.

The Jamaat delegation included Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Md. Taher, Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretaries General Maulana ATM Masum and Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair and Central Executive Committee Member and Jamaat's media and publicity Secretary Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand.

The two sides exchanged views on the current political situation in Bangladesh and expressed hopes for enhanced cooperation and mutual development between Bangladesh and Pakistan in the coming years.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that Ishaq Dar will pay a courtesy visit to Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at his residence in Dhaka at 2 PM tomorrow.
