DHAKA, Aug 24, 2025 (BSS) - The university administration has taken stringent measures to prevent cyberbullying and maintain order to ensure a fair and peaceful Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) and Hall Union polls.

In this regard, the university administration has requested the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to temporarily suspend several online platforms, including 'Dhaka University Nirapotta Mancha', 'Dhaka University Chhatro Shongshod-1', and 'Chhatro Shongshod-2' until September 10.

All activities of the Green Future Foundation and its shuttle service will remain suspended during this period due to potential influence on the election.

The administration also asked candidates to remove campaign billboards and banners from the campus.

Alongside the voluntary services, gift distribution, monetary support, or hospitality by candidates will be considered as violation of the electoral code of conduct.

Officially campaigning will be allowed from August 26 to September 7 (until 11 PM). Before that no campaign would be allowed.

Even during the campaign period, social or financial assistance, religious gatherings, or events in religious institutions will be prohibited.

Violations of these rules will be punishable offence under Clause-17 of the election code. These measures aim to ensure a neutral and peaceful election process, DU sources said.
